No before Pics....Am I the only deleter?

Hi. I have reached my weight loss goal (twice), I hit one then reset it to lose 4 extra pounds, I hit that today. I am very happy with the results of both the weight loss and the exercise. That said, I took before pictures but found them so repulsive I deleted them all. Now I wish I had them to remind myself of what I looked like and as a continual motivator to stay lean and fit.
Has anyone else done this? Deleted their pics or would not take them at all?

I did the same! Couldnt stand seeing the rolls of fat or double chins etc, so deleted them, or the ones i do have im hiding in them....It's a common issue i think =/0

yup i avoided full body pis untill i started to feel ok with my weight loss !!0

I've kept one of my own, just for reference, but do tend to delete most. I have lots of picture-taking friends though, so I can't avoid them!!0

Took me a year to take my pictures and yes, I BADLY wanted to delete them. But I didn't because about 40 or 50 lbs and 3 years ago I took before pictures and deleted those and wish I had them now. This time I'm keeping them. I've mentally separated myself from the fat and know what I look like at my goal is who I am, not what I look like now.0

As sad and depressing as it was, I did take them, however, I put them on a seperate memory card so I wouldn't have to look at them.0

i THOUGHT i deleted all mine. and then i was going thru my pc one night, and found a WHOLE album of ones where i was even BIGGER then i was in the ones i took. oh it was awful! look thru ur computer. u might be surprised at what u might find! or if u deleted them into ur recycle bin, u can sometimes go back and retrace them if u havent already "emptied the trash" lol.0

I know JUST what you mean. I hid when it was picture time and the ones I was so unfortunate to get caught up in...I can not find. The before pic in this actual profile pic...is not the biggest I have been. I wish I would have kept the biggest one. Also, I wish I would have taken pics per 10 pounds I lost to show the gradual change....oh well Congrats on your progress!!!! That is amazing:happy: I absolutely can not wait until I am where you are:flowerforyou: WTG!!!!!!!!0

I can't seem to find a full body shot of me at my highest weight. I always hid in pictures. I wish I could find at least one to do a before and after post.0

Oh my oh my! I am so there with you!! I thought it was just me...
It's so inspirational to see other people's before and after shots - but if I had a photo of myself where there is even the hint of tummy-roll or neck-podge it was deleted from my computer faster than you could say 'revolting!'
I have plenty of photo's from the past few years where I am a little bigger than I would like, but none at all from when I was at my biggest!
Ah well - maybe we are more 'look forward people' than 'look back'
Hey - when you look as good as you do now...I wouldn't want to be looking back anyway!! :happy:0 -
I only have the ones that family has taken of me in the past (without my knowledge otherwise I am flipping them off in every picture).
I took my befores but I hated them so yes.... I deleted them.0 -
I should have taken pictures throughout a build, lean, maintain, waste cycle so people could what that looks like. Too late now though 'cuz once leaned back up, no more cycles, just maintenance and recovery of wasted muscle as needed.0

I have kept mine. Granted I am still in the process, but even now looking at them reminds me of where I have been. Those are memories that I cannot delete, so I intend to keep the pictrues as well. Almost trophy style to say 'I DID THIS!'.
You are forever moving forward. You know where you have been that is still with you. Keep up the great work, and congrats!! :drinker:0 -
I guess I am the oddball. Although didn't necessarily jump up to be photographed at my heaviest, I never thought of myself as disgusting or awful. I was physically unwell and frustrated by the limitations but no matter the size, always knew I was a good person. If others didn't like how I looked, screw them. Holds true today. Sire it would be nice to get rid of the extra skin bit I still look great and hubby loves me no matter what. Not going to put myself through torture for looks.0
