Long-Time MFP People

I was just wondering if there are people who have been here for an extended period of time, im talking 5+ years. (Is this website even that old?). If you have been here that long, do you still log your food/ exercise as accurately as you did when you started? Are you more casual about it? I'm just thinking about my longterm future and my ability to stick with this lifestyle. As of right now i think I will be able to, but who know what I'll feel like a few years down the road after I have hopefully long since met my goal weight.

    I've just been here since November. Logging my food and exercise has become habit to me- I'd feel weird if I didn't.

    i dont know if people have been here that long, but i know many that have reached their goals and now are maintaining on the site.... I would think once you maintain your weight for a year or so, you would just know and be able to tell what your body needs for calories... Once I am maintaining i will probably keep recording for a year or so, until i feel comfortable that i can do it without :) By then I should know the calories in my favorite foods, or weaknesses :) I am sure you can maintain this lifestyle, i think we all can. There is so much support on here, and of course the site is always here if you gain a few pounds, then go back to recording lol :)

    My one year anniversary was last March. I am more dedicated about logging than I was at first because as I reach my goal weight, the loss has slowed and I have to be more precise in my exercise and food quantities and quality. I see myself continuing for at least another year because in order to get leaner, not necessarily lighter, it takes even more attention to detail in how your body responds to calories levels. I might even keep on longer than that to make sure I maintain. I don't want the scale to creep up without me noticing.

    ive been on here for almost a year... my motivation comes and goes... for a few months i log everything... then i get off track but I always come back which is most important

    I've been here since Dec '09. I go in spurts of logging now that I am on maintainence, but I'm still here all the time!

    I joined in August of 09. My motivation also comes and goes. I'll go 6 weeks where I log everything, and then 4 weeks where I don't log much.

    Any failures to reach my goals are mine and not the system. When I follow the system I am successful.
