Sorry to be so graphic but mother nature has put in her monthly appearance today and for some reason, I can't stop loosening my bowels. Don't know why.... sorry if anyone is eating :(

I feel for you, but that's pretty typical for me, too.

I think it's pretty normal and is generally considered to be hormonal.

    Unfortunately thats common. Hormonal.

I actually do know why...talked to my doctor about it awhile ago. It's because of the prosteglandins which make the uterus contract. They also trigger the bowels when they get too high. Try some Naproxen Sodium or Ibuprofen...both are prosteglandin inhibitors.

I'm the same way every time! I feel your pain!
  • Mine usually has the opposite effect if you know what I mean. Our bodies are weird.

It happens, unfortunately. Try drinking some Gatorade and lots of water. Dehydration is bad when you are having stomach problems. The more fluids you lose, the more you need to intake!!

Same here - when it's near that TOM - I try to eat foods that help keep things "regular" - otherwise it's TROUBLE!
I always knew I was weird - LOL

    Exactly... it's the hormones.

I have this same occurance 24 hours prior to TOM, that practically empties my bowels :embarassed:
    TMI?

I always know when its TOTM because I stop going at all for 2-3 days. Once I've started I "go" back to normal again.
