BodyBugg vs. HRM Accuracy

I have and use both and the numbers are vastly different. Although both are still smaller than the numbers that MFP estimates which seem a bit exaggerated to me. I guess I have begun to doubt the accuracy of the bodybugg especially now that I see it is registering calories burned even on the days I don't wear it.
115 minutes of cycling, the bugg gave me 595 calories and the HRM gave me 962 calories burned.
Any thoughts??

I have the body bugg. It reads when you are not wearing it because it is programmed with what you told it about your weight, height and age so the # that you get when you aren't wearing is your resting metabolic if you are sleep all day.0

Bodybugg calculates calories burned based on the questions you answered when you set it up and is designed to give an estimate of the calories burned even when you are not wearing. I have noticed that the MFP numbers are a little inflated. There are ways to calculate an estimate of calories burned in a workout session and you should be able to ask any employee at the gym you go to and they can explain it. Hope that helps....0

I would say as long as your HRM is the strap type and has the proper user settings (ie sex, height, age and weight) I'd use it.0

bump, just because I'm interested in the answers too.
I do know that the bodybugg will enter it's calculated calories for you when you're not wearing it (BMR during your stated sleep hours, TDEE during waking hours)... and the more you wear it, the more accurate it is supposed to get.0
