I play on a vintage base ball team and we will be playing two games tomorrow for a tournament in 80 degree heat. Anyone have a good way I can estimate my calories burned w/o a HRM? Its on my list to get one but dont think I'll be able to before tomorrow morning. The games last about an hour and a half each and I play first base.
Suggestions? Thanks.

Well, I can\t find baseball listed but for someone who weighs 252lbs, for playing 3 hours of general "softball", you would burn approximately 1814 calories. Not to mention that baseball is a little more intense, plus the weather at the time of the game. I used this tool:
http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calories_burned.htm
But there are others, you could google Calories burned playing Baseball or something, and you should find results. As of now, I would say you will burn a minimum of 1814 cals.0 -

Yeah baggy wool unis! We play by 1861 rules. Check out our team website www.pondfeilders.org. Also if you go to www.vbba.net (I think its dot net) you can see if there is a team in your area!0 -
