Need to find self dicapline !!

Just start a months worth of diet chef to help me control my portion sizes sizes and think more of what I add to bulk out meals. I love cooking but have got into very bad eating habits since graduating and moving into my own home. So fingers crossed A month on this gives me the kick I need to get back to prep n cooking healthy meals. As for my weight I'm the heaviest I've been and the shape I've become makes me feel self conscious. Turn 30 in 4 weeks so trying to find self dicapline and remind myself that mcdonalds and take aways are not the answer when rushing to and from work. Missing those sausage n egg muffins in the morning tho

I always have found that when you make weight loss your first priority - every day- you will do what is needed to lose weight. If not, there will always be an excuse. Good luck.0

Here's a thought. Maybe pick one tiny goal - and I mean tiny .. the kind of thing you know you're going to accomplish! For example, a goal of doing 5 sit ups every morning or a goal of drinking one extra cup of water a day or whatever it may be. The idea is to get a little success under your belt. I think it might help give you a sense of control and might make you feel more capable of being disciplined. Just an idea0

How about planning / making meals in advance? It's great that you love to cook so you don't need take aways! They may seem like the easy option after a busy day but if you've got everything ready to cook at home, you'll be saving time (& money)
Log your planned evening meal onto MFP so you know that's what you're having. You may even have calories left for an evening glass of wine, or another slice of birthday cake!
Don't deny yourself your favourite McDs muffin, just plan it in once a week & enjoy it. And if you have a free morning - make your own! I'd be interested to know the calorie & cost difference? I bet it tastes healthier...

The best advice I can give is to take one day at a time. Set yourself daily goals that are very easy and achievable. Get some success under your belt and then increase the goals so your focus and commitment will continue to build. The next piece of advice I have to give is to PREPARE. Meal prep, exercise prep, and mental preparation to avoid temptations. Good luck in your journey!!!0

So I lost 4lb my first week but annual heave for 9days had seen me eat out and go of track however I've lost half lb so I'm happy i haven't put on. So got my meals prepped for the next week, n working right up to the weekend so that shall keep me busy. Slow progress is best so I'm told X0

I don't know what your calorie goal is but a McDs muffin was not the problem for me. Keep logging everything and see what the problem. That's the discipline you need in the beginning.0
