Too much energy

Hi all, I have been using MFP for a few months now, and have lost 10Kg from healthy eating and a mix of cardio exercise. I am starting to find that if I go a day or two without rigorous cardio workout (for example 45 mins on cross trainer) I do not sleep properly, and frequently awake during the night full of energy. This is starting to make me feel like a sleep deprived zombie, but with plenty of energy to keep me physically going throughout the day. A good cardio session returns me back to normal, but tired due to lack of sleep. Anyone else experience this?

Yeah... and bonus - I get cranky if I don't get a good run/workout in. Which has the added effect of my family sending me to work out if it's been too long. LOL!0

One thing I would try doing is do some deep stretching and foam rolling before bed. Maybe even an Epsom salt bath (all of which I do daily). You also might want to supplementing with ZMA and possibly melatonin.0

Oh, great! I have been experiencing this for the past couple of weeks. I was hoping it was just from my half cup of coffee after lunch. I really wanted to get out of bed at 2 am last night and go to the gym.0

But...you sleep BETTER when you do have cardio than you ever have before!0

Yes, I have had this. I have been exercising daily and doing C25K. Then last week I hurt my foot and couldn't do much of anything. At night I was vibrating from unexpended energy.
I got out my hula hoop to use some of that energy up without stressing my foot much.
The worst night, before I could even hula hoop, I had to take a benadryl to knock me out.
Overall, I see this as a positive sign that I have created a more active life.0 -

I also wake up hours earlier without my alarm. Running is amazing.

Well... 45 min a day isn't excessive. You could add more days0
