Could someone look on my diary and tell me how much I'd need to eat to be net? MFP says I should be eating 1700 which seems WAY too much. But how much should I eat for the rest of the day?

  • Hi.. it looks like it is your excersize that is bringing up the count so high.. there is always a debate on if you should eat the extra calories or not.. I eat some.. but you burned over a 1000 today so I would tell you to make sure you get a decent dinner in there.. you are eating a very small amount of food.. If you continue the excersize, I would should for about 500 calories for breakfast and lunch each and maybe more like 600 for dinner.. then a couple of snacks..

    that is just my 2 cents :)

    Woah! What are you doing to burn 1000+ calories, that's fab!

    I wouldn't eat back all of them personally but you have got room to eat a bit more.

    You should look at your net calories on the home page. That number should be close to 1200. Right not it looks like your net calories is like -300 because you have only eaten like 800 calories but you have burned like 1200. This means your body isn't really getting any calories and your excercise has canceled out all the food you ate today. If you are going to burn so many calories excercising you have to eat a lot more calories a day, almost 1600, to have a net of 1200.

    calories eaten - excercise calories = net calories

    today --> 800 - 1200 = -300

    what you'd have to eat --- > 2400 - 1200 = 1200

    Yup, you've got plenty of room for a full dinner. A lean protein, green veg and a carb. You're a tiny bit over on your sugar but not leaps and bounds. Cutting out some of the processed food would nip that.
