I have been boucing back and forth on the scale at 228.4 to 227.8 for 4 days in a row even though I am doing everything right. Since my weight is on the higher side and I am trying as hard as I have been I usualy always see a difference in that amount of time. I know that I'm doing good I have lost 64 pounds but I'm just getting frustrated at the scale. I'm thinking I may be trying to plateau since I was at 224 for about 3 years. I am just so frustrated right now.

Try switching up your workout routines, or doing something completely different with your diet for a day. A shock may be all your body needs. If that doesn't work, are you also taking your measurements? Maybe you're losing inches. Maybe you're building muscle (which we all know weighs more than fat). It could be any number of things. Just hang in there. The scale will move again.

I am having that same problem. One day I am down 2 pounds the next day I am up 2 pounds. Does not seem to be going anywhere. And since I have just started and have only lost 3 pounds, it is very easy to get frustrated and quit. I am trying to stay positive and keep moving in the right direction! Keep up the work and I am sure it will pay off (for the both of us)!!!

It seems there are always points that people have a bit of a hard time getting past. For myself, I knew this time that no matter what I did it was going to take me a while to go from 205 to 199, because that's always been a tough threshold for me. My next one will be around 185.

Don't be discouraged - just keep on following what has worked for you in the past, plus try to make sure that you:

    - Reduce your sodium as much as possible
    - Increase your water
    - Switch up your protein sources
    - Maybe try a new exercise

You'll get there... just think of all the work you've already done and don't give up!! :)

Do you have your measurements? Try sticking with those.

I gave up on watching the scale all the time and use my measurements instead. The scale wasn't moving for me either, but I've lost almost 5 inches (2 1/2 off my waist alone) in three weeks.

Hang tough and maybe try a different workout routine. You'll get there!

Try switching up the types of foods you eat....increase water....those are two things that helped my plateaus. I thought I was drinking plenty but then I just started filling up a gallon jug and realized I wasn't drinking but maybe half of it a day.
I also didn't think I was consuming lots of carbs because I fill up mostly on veggies and protein, but shocked how many I was actually taking in. To make a long story short. Once I changed those two things I lost 3.5 pounds this week! I was shocked.
    Good Luck:-)

4 days in a row! I have the perfect solution for you.

    STOP WEIGHING YOURSELF.

You can be up or down 4 or 5 pound in a day based on when you ate and when you used the bathroom. I can drop two pounds simply riding my bicycle for 50 minutes. Weight loss is not a straight line trip. If it bothers you to not see progress, don't weigh yourself more than once a week. Just keep with your eating and exercise plan and you will do great. (Stressing doesn't help)

    Good luck!
