With more time on my hands, I'm eating more in the evenings.

Sounds like you need to find some hobbies. My weekends are almost as busy as my week days, most of the time. I do tend to get fewer exercise calories so have to be more careful about what I eat, but I don't find it too difficult to stay on track.

Yes, the best way not to overeat in the evening is to distract yourself with some engaging activity. I find that when I'm just sitting around watching TV or reading my mind starts wandering out to the kitchen...and my body often follows.

More time on your hands means more time to increase your activity level.

Take a 2 mile walk at a 4 mph pace, or a long bike ride.

Keep busy .....and bank calories during the week to allow for some splurging at weekend, it works a treat

Maybe structure your weekend time. Get the people in your life on board with your plans.

I also have a harder time on the weekends, especially with eating out, parties, and family functions. I save up calories for weekends and/or if I know I will attend a special event. For me, it's about meeting my calorie goals for the week.

The ball is a metaphor. For the struggle to achieve fitness, wellbeing, and guilt-free Saturday cookies.

I suppose if I'd really been able to push that red ball, Target would've chased me down and thrown me jail for stealing.

I hope you've got a FitBit or some kind of tracker because I'm fairly certain MFP doesn't have an entry for that.

Isn't here a Greek God story about pushing a rock?
