Over the weekend i got together with my sorority sisters. A friend i hadn't seen since her college graduation (3 years ago) asked me how much weight i had lost... i responded "30 pounds!" Thinking she would congratualate me I readied myself to thank her and talk up MFP... instead she asked me "where did it go?"

Where do you think it went!?!? :huh: I sweat it out on the gym floor! I changed my life so it never comes back!

Anyone else had similar experiences?

    A colleague at work finally noticed I'd lost weight today..When he asked how much, I told him 24 lbs and he scoffed "24lbs?? Where from?"

    The oddest line that I heard when I had lost about 60lbs about 8 years ago was "I thought you looked better fat."

    I get asked "from where" in response to my 20 lb loss.
    I think because when I was bigger I was good at covering it up. Now that I wear more form fitting stuff people don't really notice because they just assume thats the same size I always was,just with bigger clothes.

    Fell off and took a cab somewhere
    Took a vacation, a permanent one!
    Is now hanging out at the local 'fat' food restaurant
    Lurking around corners for the next unsuspecting doughnut munching person
    In the new meat and cheese stuffed pizza crusts

    First of all, Congratulations!!! I have no idea where these inane comments come from. My reply would probably have been that the "Fat Fairy floated it away". Sounds better than the obvious which would be that you had reduced your calorific intake and as a result had pissed it away. So happy for you and hope that you continue to keep to a healthy and enjoyable lifestyle.

    that is kind of funny. Today I saw my man friend for the first time in about a month. Our schedules are opposite most of the time so we only see each other ever few weeks or so. I was so proud of myself for losing almost 25 pounds and expected him to say somthing truly wonderful.... and he didn't. When I first told him that I was losing weight he said "why"? On one hand I am thankful that he cares for me where I am at but I really wanted him to say "dang baby, you look great"!

    Why do some people have to be like that. :angry: Maybe they are insecure with themselves. You have done great! You have changed your life for the better!!
    Today we are having a party for my son's graduation. I guarentee 1 (maybe more) of his sisters will look at me and say "your getting fat":explode:
    Oh well we know the truth. They are just haters!!:heart:
