I actually put mine under "teaching aerobics class," bt I'm sure others use different modes. Curious to see as well!0
-
I log it under "Punching, kicking, lunging" and around 450 cals/hr.0
-
I wear my HRM for the class and I burn any where from 450-650 depending on how much I put into it!0

I put it down as aerobics, although it's probably a bit more high intensity than that
I saw an interesting blog post that did a formula for body combat as roughly, per class, 10calories per kg of body weight.

I also log it under 'punching kicking asswhooping'-whatever. I wear my HRM and was in the high 500's. Same with body attack.0

I wear a HRM and also burn anything from 450-650 cals! I have created my own exercise, called Body Combat (funnily enough!) and log it under that.0

i log my body combat class under 'martial arts'.0

great thank you x0

Up until now I've been logging body combat classes under high impact aerobics which is only 363 cals per hour which seemed really low for such a demanding class. Checked with instructor, apparently the top end is anything between 700-1000 cals, so im going to log it as "karate/judo/taekwondo" whcj is 560 cals per hour which sounds more realistic. Anyone agree?
edit: just changed it to "martial arts" which is slightly lower at 476 cals per hour (Im thinking I'd rather underestimate than overestimate)0 -
I wear my hrm and for Body Combat, I burn 450-530 calories in 55 min and burn 580-645 in Body Attack. I made my own exercise category to track.0

I usually clock up around 650 with my hrm in an hr! x0

I'm 5'7" and my HRM generally says about 450-500 for Combat classes. Enjoy!0
