Im having a bit of a problem with my weight loss programme. Even though my diary says I should be losing weight by eating the right foods etc. I only seem to gain weight when I eat anything at all! I don't know what to do about this and whether it's normal??

How long have you been doiing this for? Is this accurate or estimate? How much weight have you gained?

Are you tracking your calories accurately? Do you weigh and measure your food? I know this sounds basic, but if you are estimating some, or all of your foods, you may be under, or over, estimating what you are eating. I purchased an electronic set of scales and got a shock! I weigh everything now, as far as is practicable!!

I don't really gain much but mostly I gain about 0.4 kg each day so my weight gradually gets heavier

Hope you don't mind me asking, but what are your stats? It is difficult to know what's wrong, if anything, with what you are doing. Your diary is closed too.
Also, you may want to consider what your eating habits were like before you started eating healthy. If you are consuming more calories now, you will gain some weight, but what are your goals?
Is the profile picture you?! Are you overweight, and if so, a little or a lot?
What exercise are you doing? A good weigh to lose weight is through exercises that increase your heart rate - cardio type and if you want to "tone up" , you may want to consider some lifting and strength training.

In another thread youve mentioned that you arent doing the cooking and asked about how to weigh foods that other people cook. So that leads me to believe you have not been using a food scale.
In order to be as accurate as possible, it's important to weigh everything you consume with a food scale. It makes no difference if your eating healthy low fat foods , if you eat at a surplus youll gain weight. If you eat at a deficit youll lose weight. To be sure your actually eating at a deficit, youll need to weigh everything you consume and log it accurately

If you weigh all your food and log accurately there would be no 'about' to it

You aren't eating at a defecit

Either your food logging is out or your exercise logging is out - my guess is both

I don't really gain much but mostly I gain about 0.4 kg each day so my weight gradually gets heavier

daily weight fluctuates up to 5lbs (2.5 kilos) through sodium, exercise, hormones etc .. but if you are constantly going up day by day then you have an issue

So you're gaining 0.4kg every day eating 1200 to 1300 calories? That's flat out impossible. You would have to try really hard to gain that much weight every day. You're probably just noticing fluctuations in your water weight.

Furthermore "low fat" doesn't make foods healthy or optimal for weight loss.

Hold on... is the 0.4kg you're gaining per day the difference in your weight between the morning and the evening? Like you're weighing more than once a day? Because that's not weight gain... that's having food and drink in your innards...

How often are you weighing yourself and for how long?

    Weight fluctuates.
