Hi I'm new to this MFP and would like to know if I'm setting myself up properly. I am 5'3" and weigh 168. I would love to get down to 130-135 and am set up to have 1,200 calories per day but I don't know if that is too little. I'd love to hear your opinions as well as any advice on how I can be successful. I'm also trying to alternate, running and walking every day.
Thank you!

An online calculator estimated a sedentary TDEE for a female with your stats at around 1600 - so 1200 per day would give you just shy of a 1 lb per week weight loss.
I'd say that's pretty reasonable, as long as you eat back a portion of any exercise calorie burns from running, etc.
Ultimately, trial and error will be your friend. Go with that for a few weeks and see if you're responding well. If not, make adjustments as necessary.0 -
Thanks ceoverturf! I'll try it out for a few weeks as you suggest.
