Why is fat lost from some areas more than others?

I am 5ft 4" and have been maintaining at 132lbs since Easter. I would ideally like to lose more but if I go below this weight I become really bony in the chest and my arms get really skinny. It looks awful and I don't understand how I can have excess fat in some areas while others become almost skeletal. Is it just me?

I'm exactly the same.
It's just our genetics i'm afraid.
This is why im now maintaining, but started lifting weights (doing a lot of squat-style exercises to build more muscle in the Legs).
My thighs are my problem area, so i'm hoping the lifting will help make them look more defined.0 -
I'm slowly but surely saying goodbye to my chest(cries)0

Genetics, indeed. Your body shape will pretty much tell you where the pounds will come off last. Pear shape? Thighs! Apples? Tummy! Etc. Sucks but that is just how it it0
