I found this website yesterday that has the "Couch to 5k" plan. I tried the first one this morning and was pretty successful. My jogging is probably slower than it should be, but I'll get there. Thought I'd share:

I use that site to train for my 5k's...one day I will work up to a half marathon? Good luck and each day you will improve

I followed that plan this summer and I was running 3 to 4 miles at a time. Then school started and I got busy with lesson plans, my kids activities and life in general. I haven't jogged since august, but I felt great when I was doing it and I will start again this summer. It's a great plan I never thought I would be able to jog that far. Good luck!!

I'm doing a modified version of it that I've discussed in a couple of other threads. So far, I'm up to running 18 min. @ 6.4 mph with a 5 min. warm-up and a 7 min. cool-down.

I already do a lot of jogging, but have a hard time with long distance and time. So I think I wil try this program to help me out! I would love to be able to run 3 miles without stoping!
