These seem, to be my only two modes. I will go 2-3 days where all I want to do is eat everything I in sight or nothig at all. On my not hungry days I try, to force myself to eat with little luck. Any advice?

I can definitely relate! Some days are easy and others are hard. I know on the days that I'm not that hungry I just force myself to try to eat enough for that day. Now those days I feel famished I drink lots of water but also grab some carrots or fruit to help. I keep reminding myself why Im doing this and it will pay off!0

Well, as the weather outside is gettin much nicer I will spend the next few months bein not so hungry @ all. I will slowly drop in calories and Def. not eat my exercise calories back but I will still try to eat 5 small meals a day with the fact that I don't want to go to bed hungry. Meaning if I don't continue to eat thru out the day I will find myself hungry throu out the night. My best advice would be to eat smaller meals and eat every 2 to 3 hours. Even if it's just a banana or cottage chesse.0

I do this too, maybe you should just on your hungry days- drink a lot more water than normal- it will fill you up and won't cost any un-wanted calories. Excercise a lot on these days too, instead of a 2 mile walk/jog, go for 3 or 4, yes it will cause you to want to eat- but for some reason when I do this I eat less than if I was lazy all day.
On your not gonna eat days- Eat small snacks like carrot sticks or anything of that sort. And don't think "Oh, I'm not eatting" or you won't. Prepare a meal as if you were starving- eat what you can and that's all you can really do. I think it all depends on your mood when yoiu are in these modes. Like when I am mad- I eat and eat and eat and eat. When I am happier- and laughing I don't eat- I guess it's backwards for me haha.

You need to get your body in a pattern of eating at regular intervals because this is what fuels your body, basically what you are doing is not eating for days then BINGING to refuel, then youve eaten so much you arent hungry. YOUR BODY LEARNED THIS SOMEWHERE! Either by crash dieting, over detoxing, or eating like this throughout your life. You wil be amazed at how much more energy you have on how good your body feels when gettingconstant energy.
While re-training your body try liquid fuels on the days you dont truly WANT to eat. Carnation instant breakfast, protein shakes, smoothies with protein powder blended in. The on the days you want to binge stock the house with lean proteins, fresh fruits and veggies (throw away the carbs if you need to) that way you are eating foods that FILL you and signal your brain more efficiently with fewer cals.
It may take a month or two but you really need to re-train your body!0 -
I just flipped through your food diary. You need to cut out the processed crap. I know with having kids its hard (believe me I get the cookies and crackers for my son but I have also learned alot of will power not to eat them he didnt get them for awhile) Espcially with me being a single mom and working full time my diet was REALLY pre-processed for a long period of time. If you switch to more whole foods you will save on your sodium intake (dramatically high some days) and gain alot more energy.
I am saying this as a person who has lost, gained, and is losing again. With meds and without during my journey.
I have had to LEARN new habits and they havent always been easy. I dont always eat perfect, I still have some pre-processed foods, just not as many. Feel free to look at my diary. I still eat out, I still eat some packaged foods, heck I still have candy, just in different moderation0 -
I have days like that. On my not so hungry days I just eat as light as possible. I make a simple scrambled egg for breakfast, a basic salad for dinner and protein/veg/carb dinner. In between I will much on some almonds. I won;t make my food goal, but I will manage to get in over 1200
Most importantly eat breakfast. I was once a no breakfast eater, but it really does wake up your metabolism. make sure that said breakfast includes a protein. If you can eat them eggs are best and as long as your cholesterol is fine, you can eat the entire egg.
You might want to adjust your tabs to monitor your sugar as well. many people dislike it, but I find that monitoring my sodium and sugar works better for me than counting the calories.0 -
