When I was at my highest weight I felt fat fat. Then I lost 10lbs and felt Fat thin like heavier but it looked good, Now that I am close to my goal but 15lbs away and I know what I want to look like , I feel thin fat , I just want to feel thin thin. Anyone else going through these stages.

I'm kinda going through that right now. I've lost 23 lbs so far, and when I am seeing a difference everyday on the scale, I feel good about it and I feel less "fat" even though at 243 I am. However, this week the scale has been sticking at the same spot and each day I check I feel frustrated and now I am noticing that its harder for me to stay motivated since all I feel and notice is that I am fat. But I have read other peoples stories of how they still see themselves as fat well after they have lost a ton of weight. I'd say give it a bit and eventually you'll adjust. We tend to be so self-critical of ourselves and you really need to step back when you feel "thin fat" and remember all the hard work you have done and are doing, and help that keep you on the positive side. :)

Haha..I was fat and am now at the Fat but Feeling Thin stage. I have about 12 pounds until my goal and I feel much thinner. However, I am still troubled by my belly fat, which in turn makes me feel HUGE. SO to answer your question, yes. I am totally going through the stages!

Don't think about being fat! Think about yourself, accept what you currently have, and think that lost lbs is a bonus. Stay motivated no matter what and my favourite line "love yourself" as it's the key to weight loss. Goodluck.

What would the adventure be without different stages? And it truly is all about the journey, not the destination. We live, eat, breathe, laugh, love, cry, work, and play, all in the now! As long as we never quit, nothing else matters. Congrats on your great work so far, and enjoy the path you are on. It's a great one!

I know exactly what you mean. At each 10lbs range (140's,130's and now 120's) I feel good for about a week and then I feel unhealthy/fat again. It's slowly wearing off, which I'd hoped would happen the closer I get to my goal. For a bit I was worried that I was developing some body image issues. Will it ever go away? I'm not sure. It's one of the things that keeps me motivate to keep working.

I feel this way all of the time...and honestly it makes me feel really guilty - why is my weight never good enough?? I am thiner, why can't I be happy with this? why do I always want more!?! When I wear pants that really show my muffin top its the worst, even if the number on the scale is great. I'm too stuborn to buy bigger pants -
