Hi everyone:smile:

I've lost 17 lbs so far, and when my daughter saw this, she told me my 6 month old grandaughter, Keira had just been weighed, and she weighs 17lbs, so I've lost a Keira!!
What weighs the same as your weight loss?

    1 pound = a Guinea Pig
1.5 pounds = a dozen Krispy Kreme glazed donuts
2 pounds = a rack of baby back ribs
3 pounds = an average human brain
4 pounds = an ostrich egg
    5 pounds = a Chihuahua
    6 pounds = a human’s skin
7.5 pounds = an average newborn
    8 pounds = a human head
10 pounds= chemical additives an American consumes each year
11 pounds = an average housecat
    12 pounds = a Bald Eagle
    15 pounds = 10 dozen large eggs
    16 pounds = a sperm whale’s brain
20 pounds = an automobile tire
23 pounds = amount of pizza an average American eats in a year
24 pounds = a 3-gallon tub of super premium ice cream
25 pounds = an average 2 year old
30 pounds = amount of cheese an average American eats in a year
    33 pounds = a cinder block
    36 pounds = a mid-size microwave
40 pounds = a 5-gallon bottle of water or an average human leg
    44 pounds = an elephant’s heart
50 pounds = a small bale of hay

66 pounds = fats and oils an average American eats in a year
70 pounds = an Irish Setter
    77 pounds = a gold brick
80 pounds = the World’s Largest Ball of Tape

You know, 16lbs. is the weight of the heaviest bowling ball. You've lost more than that, which is truly impressive. Actually, I am right about where you are when you consider weight I lost before I started MFP. That feels pretty good, I too lost a Keira (or bowling ball)

I've lost two housecats and three guinea pigs! LOL

I actually did a test today, I got one of my hiking rucksacks and kept filling it with stuff until my scale read how much I had lost. I was shocked when I tried to lift it. It was the most fantastic feeling to "feel" how much weight I have lost from my body... Numbers on a scale are one thing, but when you can actually hold the amount of weight you have lost it is so impressive!

What weighs the same as your weight loss?

I thought at first you meant Kiera Knightly, who also looks to weigh about 17 pounds.

Googling "weighs 24 pounds," my first result was that a giraffe heart weighs 24 pounds. So I'll go with that. I lost a giraffe's heart.

according to your chart I've lost the "chemical additives an American consumes each year" - wow, that's an eye opener...I'm happy to loose that - in fact chemical-wise, I'm sure I lost more that than since having quit smoking! (8 yrs ago)

I've lost what my dog weighs... lol.

Sorry. It's all I have to offer. My kids are older, so I won't be "losing" one of them. LOL
