I think you're after a body recomposition routine.0

THIS^^^^ and patience. Recomp process is slow but worth it.

I agree. And with the others I agree it takes time. You didn't gain your weight overnight so don't expect your body to be perfect overnight! Keep talking and asking these fine people advice. I'm sure you will do well, maintain, and become toned!0 -
re-comp....just keep in mind that it's a very, very, very slow process...you don't just end up with a fitness body in a matter of weeks or a couple months...they are built with a dedication to fitness, eating well, and lots of patience.
I did a re-comp for over a year really just focused on fitness goals rather than aesthetics with the notion that through achieving those goals I would eventually end up with the body that comes with putting in that kind of work...I ultimately hit some fitness plateaus and did a bulking cycle for which I've done a small cut, but pretty much I'm just back in a re-comp...just eating to maintenance and rocking my fitness...I'll be in this mode likely for the rest of my life and will just continue to be better and look better as the months and years go by.0 -
Nah, go bulk and cut again. Everyone needs a hobby.0

The most simple approach: Eat at maintenance and focus on fitness. Lift, run, swim, hike, do whatever you enjoy.
Level 2 approach: eat at maintenance, lift heavy 3-4 days a week, and maybe run 1-2 days a week.
Level 3 approach: bulk/cut, lift heavy 4-6 days a week, and get one of those shirts that says "Yeah, no. Don't put me down for cardio."
Whatever you do, don't eat over your TDEE (unless bulking), make sure you meet your nutritional goals, and choose an exercise you enjoy. Do it often, make it progressively more difficult, and make it a sustainable part of your life.0 -
Thank you all for your advice I will increase calories and continue to lift , resistance train and run0
