Another Apple Watch /MFP calorie question...

So, love the new AW. I've been wearing it for a month, and have set it up to be the main means to record steps, as well as ad-hoc exercise.
I understand from other threads that the "other" category of exercises used in Health is not recognised by the MFP app so on some days where I have used the "workout" app on the AW, I know these calories may not carry across. But... It would seem that over the month there remains a massive disparity between the AW "active calories" figure and the MFP "exercise" figure in the order of 300-500 cal/day. (and yes, the "resting calories" on the AW is massively out of whack - I am waiting for OS 2.0 to hopefully fix this).
In MFP I have set my Goal to be 1900 at approx my BMR. I had hoped to see the (-ve) food eaten and (+ve) exercise then demonstrate the Cal deficit at the end of the day.
I know that "Step Calorie Adjustment" isn't a straight conversion of steps to Cal, but rather adjusting the overall daily burn estimate, but cannot see how it is so much lower than the AW active calories?
Anyone have any thoughts as to which is more accurate?

Note the diff is between the MFP total and the overall AW Active Cal. (I assumed the total AW active calories INCLUDES the workout calories already)0 -
Bump. Anyone?0

I'm sorry I don't have an apple watch (AW) & thus can't help, but don't assume others aren't interested. I've been watching posts regularly to see how MFP (and current/former fitbit users) are integrating apple watch and where the problems may lie. While I am tempted to buy an AW, I am not sure how best to integrate it without losing a year's data for direct comparison. I hope someone will address your questions. Good luck.0
