The same music I listen to when not exercising. I never got the idea of exercise music.

I don't like to listen during exercise, but sometimes think of a song in my head as I go if I'm jogging up a long hard hill or something. Occasionally a headset during my bike commute. Ones that have entertained or kept me in a rhythm:

    Rhythmic by Gypsey Kings
Death of a Disco Dancer by Smiths
    Breaking Formation by Von Spar
    Also Classics:
    Thunderstruck by ACDC
    Starting Something, Michael Jackson
    Push It, Salt and Peppa

It's cheesy, but I always enjoy the adrenalin surge from listening to the Rocky soundtracks. And trying to get through a heavy squat session while listening to soft love songs on the overhead speaker is... yeah, no.

My gym plays testosterone sapping pop music. I overcome this by playing Pandora stations through my headphones. Stuff like jimmy Hendricks radio, classic rock workout, ac/dc radio, hard rock strength training radio etc.

If you haven't deadlifted to Call of Kthulu (Metallica) then you're missing out. It'll get you in the zone and it's long enough for at least 2 warmup sets and a working set with plenty of rest between.

I tend to listen to more pop/electronic music when doing cardio, but for lifting, I prefer something heavier, like five finger death punch, volbeat, etc.

And @yusaku02 has me curious about that song, so i'm going to have to youtube it. Need some new songs for my lifting playlist.

It's an instrumental, very beautiful song with enough of an edge to keep you pumped.

They play classic rock at the gym is used to go to. That's one of the reasons I don't go there anymore.

I mix it up a lot, but when I'm bored of everything else, Beethoven's 6th symphony never fails to get me through a workout.

    pretty much this.

I have 2 main play lists that are not determined by anything other than "feel" I listen to these in the car and at the gym

I have Grinder Zone and Kicking *kitten*.
Grinder zone is anything club like- sexy- azz bouncing- pop/alternative- modern- jazzy- whatever- stuff that makes you want to dance- takes you back to old school funk- etc etc- little MJ in there whatever.

Kicking Azz is just that- all my hard core metal- heavy rap-or any rock and roll (paint in black also is on this list) anything with a driving beat and bass.
