I usually smash mine together with either a wedge of laughing cow cheese or half an avocado. Then add salt, pepper, and spice to whatever level I want that day. Sometimes I'll add some onion or apple pieces and a small amount of creamy horseradish sauce.

I usually do mayonnaise... BUT... if I want to do another thing, it's gotta be lemon and hot sauce.

A drizzle of vinegar and light mayo. Add some tender sweet corn for a bit of sweetness and texture.

This. Spicy Pepper Jack flavor makes tuna less catfood-like for me.

Drizzle of olive oil, lemon juice, fresh basil and salt and pepper. Or mix with avocado, Greek yogurt and cherry tomatoes (halved).

I get compliments on my tuna salad all the time. Simply add some chopped onion, celery, boiled egg (with or without yolk), some sweet pickle relish, and just enough light Miracle Whip to get a good consistency.

Lemon pepper is good, same as you would do with a steak.

For a few calories, tiny bit of ranch or itallian salad dressing, similar to the seasoned foil pouches you can get from the grocery store ( Starkist is one brand that has em )

Pan fried in leftover bacon grease with scallions is awesome too, but doesn't suit your needs ....

my basic tuna salad recipe is with a bit of mayo, mustard, chopped onion, and dill pickle relish. I also add a bit of smoked paprika cuz I love the stuff.

One of my favorite lunches is to lop the top off a nice ripe tomato, scoop the innards out just like doing pumpkins at Halloween, and stuffing it with said tuna salad. If you are so inclined, top that with a few shreds of moz or cheddar and stick it under the broiler to melt. Serve over over bed of lettuce and snip some fresh chives on top for flavor and color.

I thought relish and mayo was the default...maybe its a regional thing. Interesting though.

I buy the flavoured tins or the packs with crackers.
    • tuna with seeded mustard is my favourite
    • chili
    • lemon pepper

I also just bought a small tub of tuna, beans and pasta, Mexican style, which I'm going to try for lunch one day next week.
