I need to lose weight to get the job I want, so pretty damn serious. Need to lose about 40 more lbs at least.

My first goal is to reach 10-15% bodyfat. Really don't care how much weight I have to lose to get there. After that my goal is to bulk and get super swole.
I'm very serious about accomplishing this, and don't really feel like I i need any support or extra motivation. Dedication and patience is all I need.

    1. Yes - mini goals that help me move in the general direction I want to go.

    2. Quite serious. Still trudging after three years.

3a. Support? Sort of. It was nice be able to eat dinner with the family and have them understand why I'm leaving food on my plate instead of getting offended that I "didn't like the meal." Also nice to have an SO who will celebrate goals with me.

3b. Motivation? No. Motivation comes from an emotional high, which is a fickle thing and changes day-to-day. If I relied on motivation to drive me, I would've given up the first time it got hard.

    1. Yes - better physical (e.g., manage, maybe eliminate, diabetes) and mental (e.g., manage depression) health.
    2. Very. Both of the above have a huge affect on my day to day existence.
3.a) Support: It's nice to live with someone who also eats healthy so grocery shopping is easier to decide and there aren't temptations in the house. Also get support from my therapist, which is rad and keeps me level.
    b) Motivation: It's nice, really nice, to have friends and support here. But motivation hasn't been a problem for me, as I'm a creature of habit and stubborn once I change my mind about something. The motivation I appreciate is the encouragement to be patient with myself and stay mindful.
