I'm new to this :)

Hi my name is Debbie and I just got started with MFP and think it's a great tool to use for keeping my food under control and making me think before I put too much in my mouth. I quit smoking 2 years ago and quit the nicotine gum in January. I put on 20 lbs and was probably around 10 lbs over weight when I quit so I am hoping eventually to have dropped a total of 30 lbs which would make me totally happy!

    oh yeah i can totally relate to the smoking thing, i quit 2 1/2 years ago after smoking for 15 years and it is not easy! I have lost a lot of weight before but this is my first time as a non smoker so we will see!

    I can relate! Replacing cigarettes with bread is not recommended lol. Anyway, hoping to lose the 40lbs I need to for a surgery on my back. Support from people in the same boat is always helpful so please anyone add me as a friend and we can offer each other support.
