Hello..I stopped smoking 143 days ago(still counting lol) and have gained 10kgs. Hoping this app will help me do it...I've just started today and am absolutely amazed at my calorie intake! I'm 41 and smoked for 25 years so I'm very proud of quitting but not so proud of not being able to fit into my clothes. Any tips/help/friendly advice would be greatly appreciated!! Cheers ☺☺☺

Hi, I'm doing this for the same reasons. I've been stopped smoking 31 months. I have gained 2 stone. Been trying to stop eating as much. Its harder than quitting smoking. Lol. I need some help too!0

Oh yeah, this is your new battle. Been there. But congratulations and don't resume smoking no matter how much you are tempted. I quit about 18 years ago now after about 15 years as a smoker. And yes i put on weight. The thing is it will probably always be a battle to control your weight. And the besy way i think to make it easier is to eat a really healthy diet and develop good habits such as eating only at meal times and not snacking. If you need morning and afternoon tea that's fine but don't get into a thing of just eating all the time whenever you feel like it. Make meals. Make them yummy and healthy and satisfying.
Stress and emotional upsets tend to lead to overeating so deal with those things quickly. Get professional help rather htan let them go on and on. Resolve the problems to recorrect any mood changes.
Eat lots of vegies and eat fruit instead of sweets. Teach your kids how to eat well too. Good luck. Its probably never going to be easy but its worth working on.0 -
