Welcome! I'm also 62, but I have a whole lot more to lose that you do. If you would like, please add me as a friend. I log on every day and I make it a point to comment on my friend's posts.0

Hey, I'm 55 and trying to lose 75lbs. Same story, past success didn't stick and menopause makes it super hard to get anywhere.0

Hi, I'm new too. 61 and would like to lose 75 pounds. I go to work very early in the morning and by the time I get home in the afternoon I am exhausted. And I have a desk job so I sit all day!
I am trying to change my eating habits and hope to regain some lost energy!0 -
I am "new again". Been about 2 years and I'm trying again. I'm 50 and need to lose 40 lbs and have found it extremely difficult since about age 44. Food is my biggest challenge because of finances. emotional eating. convenience, I don't like cooking and hubby makes it extra difficult. Although I am eating way more healthier than I was. I do decent except weekends. I'm just finding it hard to stay motivated. I've lost 10 lbs so far since May, but I really don't see or feel much difference.0

I never had this much trouble with losing weight...Seems like since I got older, I can eat less but still gain...I know exercise is the answer and I get a lot of exercise during the summer ....gardening and yardwork....But I am married to an evangelist and spend a lot of time sitting in the car going and coming back from church....and sitting in church while services are held....Then when I get back home; I am too tired to get on treadmill??????0

I am trying to stay motivated with a positive attitude and want to go to bed each night being able to tell myself I had a good day.
I am also beginning to pray that the Lord will remind me before each meal about making good choices.
Lastly, I have adopted this quote: Nothing tastes as good as thin feels.0 -
Hello I am age 58 and need to lose weight to get a hip replacement and for overall health. My wife and me gave up white foods a few months ago. White bread, rice, potatoes and sugar. For the first time since I can remember I am eating less and not hungry. I had a kids meal yesterday at McDonalds (yes that was cheating) and was satisfied. I only weigh myself once a month and only on my scales at home. In this way I don't get depressed when my weight goes up and down as everyone does even if they are good. My peak life weight was 357 in May of 2014. That is what I looked like in my profile photo. I now weigh 324 and want to lose down to 257. This is a weight I have not been at since my mid 30s0

I'm 54 and new (again) to MFP. I have about 65lbs to lose and am trying to just cut my calories and start moving more. I know it'll come off if I just stick with the plan.
I have my annual physical this coming Tuesday, so I'll have some blood work done that I can compare to after I lose the weight. I've been diagnosed as hypothyroid in the past, but I haven't taken medication for it in years and I guess I'll start taking it again to see if it helps with the weight loss.
Good luck everyone!0
