I've gained a significant amount of weight over these past 3 years. I blamed it on birth control at first (which was a part of it). But the truth is I became lazy and got into bad eating habits....and now I feel like crap after gaining 35 pounds! I was initially a little heavier than I should've been before that's why it is my goal to lose 50 pounds.
I would just like to know what has worked for others, what you've had a hard time with. Because for me its the sweets. I get crazy sweet cravings and I've tried to eat fruit to get it to go away but its chocolate I crave sometimes or peanut butter! Hahaha
Also, I wanted to create this for motivation! I sure need some MFP buddies to help get me to my goal....I can't be the only one.I really want someone to push me, I wish I had the money for a personal trainer. Ha-ha
So anyways, feel free to talk about whatever you want but remember to always stay positive! Slow progress is better than no progress!!!!

I'm in the same boat. I gained some weight after my hysterectomy, then lost it. Then I gained it back when I quit smoking. Just like you, I got lazy and ate crap. Now I'm heavier than I've ever been. But MFP is a Godsend. I also want to lose 50 pounds. What seems to be working for me is just the tried and true "eat less - move more" plan. And the ability to track what i eat with this APP is just what I needed. Even if you can only do 15 minutes of exercise, do it! Some days, I use my lunch and just go up and down the stairs. You can do this! I've dropped 9 lbs total so far. And if I can do it, you can! Let's drop these pounds! We've got this!0

That is awesome @ladydi1515 keep up the good work!!! I'm so happy you've already lost 9 pounds and your right even 15 minutes a day is better than nothing! I was up and down with my weight for awhile too. I went on a cruise back in March and lost 12 pounds in less than 3 weeks before the cruise.....but sadly I gained it all back plus 4 more pounds. But now I'm ready to kick it into high gear and work at it again but for good! I wanna feel good about myself again!

I know what you mean....I have zero energy everyday
I love beer so I don't know what's worse beer or chocolate....lol
Good luck to you0 -
@txlady2566 yes! I feel like I run on caffiene and pre workout drinks to stay awake and workout once a day.
I don't drink, so that's a good thing...especiallu for weight loss! My mom ends up gaining weight back from drinking on weekends
But you can do it! Just keep up your motivation and determination! You've got this!0 -
The more exercise you manage to do will help up your energy levels. I manage to have beer and chocolate but the weight is still coming off because of the exercise. I'm a 43 year old mum of three who loves food and cooking and wants to loose another 36 lbs! Please add me for mutual support and motivation0

Yeah @mrsjosephinehall , i understand that. Can't really reach my goals without moving my *kitten* hahaha. I'm aiming for at least 30 minutes of cardio a day. But in reality I'd like to do an hour a day. 30 minutes is just my minimum.
Today I've done like 40 minutes. Still have to take my doggie for a walk/jog and do a home work out0
