i think this will be my first week without losing any weight :( I officially weigh in tomorrow, but the scale hasnt moved an inch this week. Hopefully this is just a temporary setback and things will be back on track next week. I feel like i ate well all week (except for one dinner celebrating my bros bday & earning his masters). I think I need to work in more exercise into my daily routine.

Dont let it discourage you if it doesnt moce. Youve been doing great so far. A little change in routine will probably help get that scale moving again

Don't get discouraged. Exercise will help out a lot, but just keep going. It's hard to stay motivated when the scale doesn't move, but don't pay attention to it. If you're losing inches and clothes don't fit the same, you are on the right track. I went 6 weeks without seeing the scale move much, but I kept going and now the numbers just keep getting better. Good luck and remember don't get discouraged, you are doing a great job.
  • Heather is exactly right, dont give up or let it get you down! Switch up your exercise routine a little. We all hit small plateau's here and there! Keep up the great work!

Mine didn't move this week either. And I have had other weeks in the past where it didn't move. Keep you head up and doing the things you know are right. I have learned it will move again.

i agree with all the others. If the scale hasn't gone up and if you are losing some inches, it's all good. Plus, you could wake up a couple of days from now and the scale could be down a couple of pounds. That sometimes happens. Keep on doing what your doing!! :)

Keep going. Don't give up. Make sure you stay with your calorie allowance and watch you sodium. Sodium is a killer. I added a column to track my sodium. Good Luck and welcome to MFP.

I'm doing the same with the sodium. That can really creep on you through the day when you're not watching. And the weight doesn't move as quickly! I went over my sodium by quite a bit one day and I was up a pound. I watched the intake for the next couple of days and have lost it and a bit more.

I had one week before I hit my goal weight that I didn't lose. But the next week I lost 2.5 lbs. Sometimes other factors (water weight, sodium) keep the scale from moving. Give it another week, before you make any changes to your routine.

Hey don't get down! If you dropped 7 pounds last week, it's normal for your loss to be minimal this week. Keep going and see what next week brings :)

not too worried about it, i know the weight loss will come (and my clothes are fitting much better, or are even a little baggy in some cases). I'm pretty confident in my diet these past weeks. I have made a vow to start working more exercise into my daily routine. This weekend i hit the gym twice, went on a bike ride and am playing golf tomorrow.

remember once you have started working out regularly your body is going to have an adjustment period! 3500 calories to lose one pound of fat is a LOT of exercise, especially if you're body is used to exercise on the daily. So you may not notice a pound come off in a week, but do not be discouraged by this. If you are going to be trying for a lifetime loss of fat you need to make sure you are eating the foods that you can consistently maintain, dont just eat salad everyday...Be realistic, eat more well rounded foods and workout a little harder! Once you reach your goal and you start eating other foods you have a higher tendancy to gain it back if you aren't gaining any muscle....When I first got to Iraq I started workout out very hard and I almost immediately gained 8lbs! For months not much of a budge but I could tell my body composition was changing drammatically. Just stick with it, its frustrating I know, I gained 85lbs when I was pregnant but Its all gone now- just a bit of tummy pudge I'm still trying to work off, but I'm back to pre-prego weight. :)

I am at the same point, I was losing all kinds of weight and had to stop exercising for 10 days because Doctor's orders. So, I cut back on my calories. I actually lost 1.5 pounds in those 10 days? (I think my body was still used to working out hard and then I cut my calories down drastically)

Now I'm back in the gym and expecting to lose weight easily and I'm not. What I think it is, that my body needs to adjust. It usually takes 7 to 10 days to get back on track.

So, don't get to discouraged. Give it sometime, stay the course.

    Good luck on your goals..
