binge eating

Just out of curiosity, what is your final thought that passes through your mind before you binge?
Mine always seems to be something like "oh I've been good for 7-8 days, if I cheat it will kick start my metabolism again!" Mind you this is even said when I'm not hitting a platue, the any "kick start" wouldn't be needed!
I'm desperately trying to break this habit!

I have the f@ck it moment, I've had a stressful day or I just am craving sugar or carbs, it's a life habit hard to break but the best thing is not to beat yourself up after, remember tomorrow is a new day. Refocus and reward yourself with some healthy food0

definitely it is the "F" it moment. tired, stressed and feeling sorry for myself. I just say "F" it and start eating. makes me feel better and then it doesn't.0

The way i broke my bingeing habit has a number of components but the key things were:
1. quit the food that i binge on - sweet foods. I replaced sweets with fruit and i only have sweets when someone else offers them to me.
2. Address mood and stress issues as quick as i can. I do it by finding a counsellor.
Those are the two biggest factors in my bust the binge strategy adn i've been successful since beginning 2014. and i've had plenty of stressful periods through this time. Yes i've binged but not on the things i used to since i quit them and i am committed to my quit sweets program. If i binge now i'm allowed to do it on foods that i don't have problems with but anyway i don't binge on those foods very often. Its a matter of feeling bad and wanting to eat, what can i eat that will help me but which is not sweets. If i kept on binging on iwth those foods hten they would be my new problem foods. So far i haven't developed any other bad habits to replace my sweet food addiction.
Without sweets in my life i've been more successful at eating healthy foods all the time. Its vital to eat more vegetables, more fruit and more fibre all the time. When i used to eat sweets and just about lived on them, i hardly ate any vegetables and not much fruit even though i love fruit and don't mind vegies. The thing is the flavours of those healthy foods can't compete iwht the flavour of sweets (and i suspect other bingey type foods).
I had a bingey period recently (but nowhere near as bad as what i used to do) and it was with peanut butter and peanuts and other high fat foods. I knew i had to get over it as i was putting on weight quite rapidly again. I resolved the problem that was causing the stress and the binge, and i'm back to not eating peanut butter but i can limit myself with peanuts.
I do'nt know if sweets are your problem food, but i love being free of my sweet addiction. And i don't miss sweets. I had fresh home made banana cake last week at a friends place. I enjoyed it without guilt or repercussions. I"m doing it this way for the rest of my life too.0 -
I always think "I've gone and done it now. Oh well, in for a penny, in for a pound". My logical brain just switches off and I feel that all sins are equal, so I might as well get my fill, because the next time will be a long time coming. So wrong.0

Yup, F it mindset with the "I will drop calories real low and up cardio the next 2-3 days to compensate" mindset. Doesnt always work. Using the dont binge and then i can enjoy one thing per day that i really like and be fine instead mindset. It works.0

Appreciate all the responses guys. Great to know I'm not alone in this. My weakest time seems to be at night.0
