Does anyone else seem to retain water when they sleep? Weigh in heavier in the mornings?

First, let me start by saying I eat doing intermittent fasting. So from when I wake up (5:30) until around noon, I only have water and sometimes coffee. With this being said, whenever I wake up, it takes my body a minute (Ok, an hour) to really adjust. As soon as my feet hit the floor in the mornings I can feel the bloat in my belly... and it causes me to have this feeling that I'm not hungry at all. I'm mentally hungry because sometimes I am , in fact, hungry, but I feel like I'm just so bloated in the mornings and that my body has just puffed my body up. I always read that you always weigh less FIRST thing in the morning. Routine: Pee, strip naked and weigh in. I can't do that. I have to parooze around the house for at least an hour until the bloat goes away (I can tell because I can feel the hunger signals coming back).
What in the world could this be? Please keep in mind, I don't add any extra salt and I eat primarily protein and fruits/vegetables. I'm also on a dieuretic for borderline high BP (which I hope to be coming off of soon. Yay.) , so I would suspect I shouldn't be feeling like this.
Any advice would be great! Thanks!!

Oh yeah I have the same thing - I don't feel bloated but I do feel sluggish, I weigh myself at about 10am because I weigh less than I do first thing. When I used to weigh myself at the gym, fully clothed, at 12noon I weighed 1-2lb less than I did naked on my scale at home first thing in the morning.0

This happens to me too, on the days I'm not going anywhere I avoid breakfast until noon and weigh then, they are normally my new low weight days, I sometimes lose 1lb in water weight between 7am and noon. Plus I feel bloated when I wake up, I try to have a coffee to clear my bloating, it helps.0

nicola- the SAME thing happens to me. I'm about to just toss my scale from my house and use the one at the gym. The one at home is just making me angry. The one at the gym seems to move while the one at my house gives me the middle finger.
I wonder what it is that causes this bloat? I just drank some coffee- hopefully that helps. I'm so sick of it. I used to jump out of bed, feel light and good... now it's this process of waking up, stretching my body, and try to get my stomach to feel like it isn't going to explode. Thanks ya'll. Nice to know I'm not the only one!0 -
The reason for weighing first thing in the morning is because that makes it easier to weigh with consistent conditions. The goal is not to weigh when you weigh the lowest possible amount. I weigh about two pound lighter after exercise than I do when I get up in the morning, but that can vary greatly based on how hot it is outside and how much water I drink while exercising. But when you get out of bed in the morning, you've had several hours for your body to sort things out and produce consistent conditions from morning to morning.0

Weighing in is about consistency. Different personal routines lead to different body fluxes. You want the time when everything is most stable for you.0
