Fish
I've read too much lately. There's always something wrong with food...dyes, antibiotics, pesticides, funky additives, etc, but I like fish. Because of what I've read, I've resorted to only eating salmon (usually wild caught, sustainable) these days. If you eat fish, what kind do you eat? I don't particularly care for that strong fish taste, but would like to eat more than salmon and limit more of our red meat intake.

we eat a lot of fish, at least 3 times a week I would say though maybe not as much in winter. I usually either lightly crust it in some corn flour and home made bread crumbs mixed with herbs and spices on colder days or grill tinfoil packs on the bbq. I layer all my favorite veggies, some then a little butter, fish fillet then a sprig of parsley, fresh basil leaf and wedge of lemon and roll it all up in a little foil envelope and grill each side for about 5 minutes each at med high heat. Always turns out great and fresh tasting. I prefer salmon or lake trout but we've adapted to almost any fish fillet.0

I have found that to stay as safe as possible I keep up with Salmon, Yellow fin Tuna, Mahi-mahi,Tilapia and Rainbow Trout. And tend to stay away for swordfish, shark, and sea bass0

Tilapia is good. You can prepare it may ways. Its also a very sustainable fish. Its considered invasive in lots of areas so catching and eating it actually helps out.0

I don't like salmon at all. But wild-caught Alaskan cod is fabulous. Makes great fish tacos.

Thank you all for your input, I appreciate the suggestions. I'm going to have to try the foil idea and the parmesan pesto tilapia! Sounds so good! We used to eat a lot of Tilapia as well, but then I started reading about it, LOL. I really need to limit my reading! We have tried cod, I don't remember if it was Alaskan or not, but we didn't care for it. We thought it was too "fishy" and apparently some too expensive! Yikes! Thanks again!0

I eat a lot of trout. If you like salmon, you will likely like trout.
I second the recommendation of Alaskan cod and tuna steaks (I hate canned tuna, but I love tuna steak). I also like regular cod and Arctic char, among others.
I don't like tilapia--it and canned tuna and catfish are about the only fish I don't eat--but I recommend just trying things. If you are concerned about sustainability check out the Monteray Aquarium's site--they give a rundown on that issue with recommendations to choose and avoid.0 -

This is one of my go-to dishes for busy worknights. Tilapia filets are fast and easy to thaw, and you can literally be plating your dinner (at least the fish portion) within 10 minutes. Goes great with a light pasta and salad.0 -
