    Hi Marie!

I find it's really helpful for me to plan breakfast and lunch ahead and pre-log them so I know exactly how much wiggle room I have for the rest of the day. I will have a couple different dinner ideas on hand that I can make depending on how hungry I am and how many calories I have left in my budget by the end of the day.

I sent you a friend request!

Cook a roast. It could be beef, chicken, or pork. Then divide the meat to make several meals, which might include a chili, a stew, a casserole, and a salad. If you do several Sundays in a row, different meats, you will have a wide variety of meals ready for you.

I get take-out aluminum casserole dishes from the dollar store, with lids, pack the meals, label them, and freeze them.

Thank you! That's a great idea. All these ideas have my "healthy brain" going crazy. And I accepted and look forward to keeping each other on track !

That's great. I was literally just thinking of what I could use for storage. But do you usually freeze any of the meals you make or you just move them to the fridge?

Food scale! Weight out the portions of whatever you're making. Otherwise you don't really know how much you're eating.

Soups freeze well. I prefer to use tupperware for storage so I can just grab a single serving.

I mega batch my "staples." rice, beans, meats, anything that can be refrozen/reheated, I weigh, cook, weigh/divide for single serving grab-and-use. beans, especially, because they take a lot of time to cook, so having precooked/non-canned on hand helps me. :)

labeling your freezer bags is never a bad idea. content name and weight. maybe even a date. I have some leftovers in my freezer that I'm not sure which ones are "chili" and "spaghetti sauce." ;)

    +1 for weighing your portions.

I make up my lunches/breakfast & snacks for the week. Dinner is a different story, but I still know what I'm making for the entire week. I make a menu for the week so I pretty much know what i'm having with a bit of wiggle room if I decide to make tacos instead of spaghetti squash.

Grilled veggies, grilled chicken/fish/burgers are always good options, chop up veggies/fruits, cottage cheese, avocado.
