Quick blister fix?

Hi MFP community, today my run was cut short a whole mile due to my shoe situation. I wore another pair of shoes I don't usually run in and half way in the back of my heels were rubbed raw and I got a couple of blisters on the bottoms of my feet. My good shoes usually don't require me to tape my feet up, unless I'm off trail hiking. Any quick solutions? Would it be unwise to try again tomorrow? Should I let the sounds rest?

The good running shoes should not give you blisters.

In the meantime prevent chafing. It sounds like you need better shoe inserts if the bottom of your feet blistered. Wicking socks. Petroleum Jelly or bodyglide. I would be taping up all those blistered spots. I'd be tempted to use a burn gel pad taped on with duct tape.

    Take a day off.

How to tie running shoes to support the ankle (perhaps prevent the heel chafing).

When I wear dress shoes that rub, I use New Skin in layers to build a barrier over the blister so I can run again sooner- but like said above- good running shoes tied well shouldn't give you blisters. The tying works wonders.
