Hi all hope you are all ok and doing well on your journeys!

I had a bit of a nsv today as I'm my own biggest critic and since the scales haven't moved much the last few weeks I was being even more hard on myself. I look in the mirror everyday and just can't see a even though ive gone down a dress size I just cant see it.

So this morning I did my daily ritual of looking in the mirror and thinking yuck when I noticed my new clothes that where quite fitted are now hanging off me especially around my stomach which used to be all flabby since having three children (last 8months ago) I had never even noticed. In my head I was still the massive woman I was 8months ago and I never saw what was really there.

Sorry I'm rambling but what I'm trying to say is if you don't see the numbers going down you might still be smaller than you think. The scales are evil lol

Take care and keep up the great work everyone

Congratulation! I'm happy for you. That happens some times, you loose mass and not weight. I think it means you have more muscle, which weighs more then fat.

Some people criticize me when i say "don't use the scale because the body is constantly losing and gaining weight throughout the day, measuring tape is better" Glad you drove the point home.

Love hearing things like this. So glad that we're all learning that there's more to this than what the scales says.

    Congrats

TOTAL NSV!!!! Congratulations - I have had some similar issues with scale vs. body changing and realized that I will take fewer pounds lost in exchange for toning and tightening with more muscle.
You are doing great, can't wait to hear about your next victory!

This is a great reminder, I have been feeling the same way lately since my scale hasn't moved in a few weeks. Congrats and keep up the good work!!

It is happening to me too, I guess it is more common than I thought... It is encouraging to see I am not alone. I don't have a measuring tape, I suppose I got used to relay on the scale, but I will definitely go and get me one... and yes, I also feel that clothes fit a lot better although I don't see a big change on my scale. Thanks for posting!
