I should say, this is an area I am jealous of San Diego or Portland (Oregon in general). SOOOOOO any good breweries there.

We only have 2 local (not well known) breweries in Bismarck, but Laughing Sun's Strawberry Wheat is pretty good and they had a mango porter a while back too. Buffalo Commons stout is pretty tasty as well.
Rogue in Newport, OR is my hands down favorite. I visited when I was on vacation in May.

Hopslam or Two Hearted Ale by Bells Brewery in Michigan.
I also like the sour beers (Berliner Weiss or Enigma) that New Glarus makes from Wisconsin

We've got an embarrassment of choices here in southern Wisconsin and I admit I couldn't really name individual brews. Some of my favorite breweries:
    - New Glarus
    - Wisconsin Brewing
    - O'So
    - Tyranena
    - Capital
    - Karben4
    - Central Waters

I'm not a beer drinker. And our local wine is terrible. But the gin and vodka I've had here are quite good. Still waiting for the bourbon to age.
