So I've been consistently working out for the past 4 weeks and have attempted to start running on the treadmill...which if by 'run' you mean doing 5-6 jog/walk combo's then that's correct. I've been an awful runner all of my life and usually avoid it at all costs...Anyways, since the weather has been so nice I took advantage of hiking our local mt and occasionally running the last quarter mile back. Saturday I decided to try the road down instead of the trail and ended up running down the whole 2 kilometers! Yes, it was downhill and it's probably cheating but I'll take a NSV here especially after being bummed about the scale not moving : )

  • Great job! Running in "real life" as opposed to on a machine is much more difficult, so that is a huge victory, even if it was downhill. Besides, running downhill trains completely different muscles than running uphill, so it's still a great workout!
