Replacement chest straps for hrm?

Ugh, I totally snapped the hard plastic end of the elastic part of my chest strap. It disconnects for easy cleaning and I broke the part that you can throw in the wash when I went to go put it back together. Anyone know of where I can buy just THAT part? The mechanics of it are all still perfect, there's just a knobby end that snapped. Let me reiterate: it's not the part of the chest strap that has the sensors.
I have a New Balance N4.

    I get my spare straps at a gym equipment store. $6. I love having a few extras...my 3 cats seem to like to take mine and they go MIA :)

    are they pretty much universal, or do I have to find a new balance specific one? Can't find any online so far...
