Next time I get knocked up lol Im going to watch what I'm eating and how much weight I gain. I read a quote the other day from a Doctor that said "if you eat for two, you will become two"...I didnt quite go that far but close...more like an adult woman plus a Justin Bieber :) Never again!

Lol seriously society makes it so easy to get fat when u r pregnant. Strangers nearly break there neck to make sure you arent even opening doors or carrying things. Plus when its your first one you are all overdramatic and think you are just sooo tired lol. And if you have a good Father for the kid they will give ya whatever you want because pregnant women are supposed to crave those things right? I went to Golden Corral breakfast buffet for like 2weeks straight lol He never said a thing lol Smart Man!

Sometimes no matter what you still gain all that weight. Third time right now for me and the first time I ate like crap, Nieve first timer and I gained over 60. With my second I lost 30 lbs (no morning sickness even). And this time Ive been watching what I eat and still have already gained alittle over 10 and Im 16 weeks.

I know exactly what you mean! When I was pregnant I thought I deserved all the food I could desire. I ate like crazy and didn't exercise because I was scared I'd hurt the baby. My husband and I are thinking of having a second child and I want to do it different this time too.

Next time I get pregnant I will...

-be at a much healthier starting weight
    -eat better throughout my pregnancy

It wasn't really about the weight gain during pregnancy for me but since I was at an obese BMI I just was not healthy all around.

Yep me too! I'm preggy with my fourth and doing it totally different (well, so far - still very early days for me yet!).

I've haven't had a child (yet) but using other's experiences and knowing my genes, I KNOW I will need to eat well and work out while pregnant to avoid turning into two of myself. This is great advice and insight!! Thanks :)

And one of the reasons I'm trying to lose this weight now is to have a healthier starting weight prior to getting pregnant! I couldn't imagine gaining 30+ lbs at my SW... it would have been disastrous.

I gained like 60lbs! In my defense the baby came out 11lbs, we were both eating toooo good  . By the end I couldnt even walk around without needing to sit every few minutes and my back pain was unbearable. I was miserable!

I agree, I definitely want to at least have a healthy starting weight. I was overweight when I got pregnant but I was happy with myself because It was in all the right places lol

Yeah, tell me about it! I gained over 60lbs with my 2nd child, he was 7lbs 13ozs and I remember getting home from the hospital and stepping on the scale and weighing EXACTLY what I weighed the day I delivered. To add insult to injury, 4.5 years later I had gained 3lbs on top of that! Now I am working off the last 10-15lbs of "baby weight". If I have a 3rd child, I'm using MFP and tracking my nutrition.

I only gained 21 lbs. with my son but I was sick during the first 3 months and lost 9 lbs. so that "helped!" LOL When I get pregnant with our 2nd I will still keep tracking my food...probably switch my goals to maintain my weight though. I ate a lot of junk when I was pregnant the first time and I don't want to deal with the "aftermath" again once the little one is here!
