Help? Always literally hungry.

I recently decided to loose weight. I'm 18, female, 5'4 and 155 lb atm. I was anorexic from 7 years old to 13 years old, something that was triggered by the death of a family member. Skip forward, at 14 years old I got diagnosed with multiples mental illnesses and at 17 got declared disabled. From 13 to 15 I had a healthy, nice weight. In my late 15, because of my medicine for my mental illnesses I gained weight. I have low blood pressure, low blood sugar, and a stomach problem that leads to me digesting things too quickly because of high acid level, so my whole life I've eaten a lot, all the time. Meals were never a thing for me. I'm also half vegetarian ( Doctor wants me to eat fish once in a while and once in a while chicken for proteins )

Which leads me here :

I want to lose weight, but a normal day for me that made me kept the same weight all the time, by literally eating a bunch of crap all the time ( aka between 155lb and 160lb ) basically looked like that :

8++ toast per day
3++ boal of cereals
Lots of junk food ( Can easily eat 2-3 big bags of chips a day, a whole box of fruit rolls, ritz cookies, pop cicles.. )
Way too many sugary foods ( Think pancakes, french toasts, rice+margarine+soy sauce ).
Literally no real protein food.
So many fruits ( easily ate 10+ apples a day )
And such.. Basically all sugary stuff.

I counted my calories back then just to give me an idea on how much I was actually eating and it was easily always over 4000-5000 calories a day.

Now I'm serious about getting back to a healthy life style, normal eating behavior and such. I decided to be serious about MyFitnessPal. Sadly, my 1200 calories + 1 hour a day so 1500-1600 calories a day is making me starve. I'm literally always hungry, my tummy aches and makes noises, it's not just ' craving ' it's pure hunger.

I have no idea how to deal with this. I'm thinking that because I was eating so much that it might just place itself after a while, but I've read everywhere online that you shouldn't starve yourself, and eat whenever you are hungry.

I don't know what to do. I really don't. I wake up at night because I'm too hungry. But honestly I'm eating like a normal person! Doing my 1500 calories a day. Could it be not enough? Will it just places itself after a while?

    Open your diary so we can see what you're eating.

    Yes, I'd like to see your diary as well. I'll be looking at your carb : fat : protein ratios and to see if you are eating common fullness-enhancing foods vs hunger-triggering meals.

    +1

    Most people tend to find that protein makes them feel satiated for longer. For some reason, that's the complete opposite for me - I need carbs to feel satiated.

    See a doctor/nutritionist and ask for a plan to work with. With your background, and medical condition (that "stomach problem" thing especially), it might not be as simple as you think.

    Just made it public. I already saw a nutritionist and she said that i shouldn't bother losing weight, that I wasn't really overweight just on the heavier side.. She's the one that added chicken and fish to my diet and recommended that I eat something small every hour instead of big meals.

    I think maybe just healthier choices can help keep your mind clear and your thought processes on the right track foods high in sugar fat and processed foods tend to slow down the body and mind, your still very young so maybe focus on feeling better about your body and feed it nourish it love it and you will look and feel happier. The bed of luck

    After looking at your diary I'm not surprised you're hungry. You're not even netting 1200 calories. I don't know how long you've been at this (diary only goes back 3 days) but you don't have to starve yourself to lose weight.

    I started 3 days ago, hence the lack of diary, I only just started..

    Your breakfast yesterday was 66 g carbs : 4 g fat : 5 g protein. Despite the 300 calories, this wouldn't keep me full for an hour. My body would be screaming, "Where's the protein?" And also wondering where the fat was.

    Some people can eat Cheerios for breakfast and feel satisfied. You don't appear to be one of them.

    Here's an idea for a grain-based breakfast that has about the same amount of calories but different macro ratios:

    Note: "14 halves" refers to one ounce of nuts, not the 1/4 ounce used. I'd probably use 1/2 ounce of nuts but wanted to keep the calories about the same.

    Note 2: the oats are nice if they get to "cook" in the yogurt for a little while. An hour is fine, but you could prep it the night before as well and then it will be ready in the AM.

    Yes, @KaellaSamm, you don't need to eat this little to lose weight. Are you setting your goal to lose 2 pounds per week? That's way too aggressive for only needing to lose 14 pounds. Try setting it to lose 1/2 pound per week.

    I am under a doctor's supervision. I was binge eating really bad . She has me on a high protein low carb diet and eggs are the trick for me. I started with 3 large eggs about 1 month ago and I am down to 2 eggs and I scramble them and load them with jalapenos onions and 2 slices of bacon and I usually don't get hungry till dinner time. (I am a late eater though and don't get hungry till about 10:30 in the morning)
