What music do you find motivates you to keep running? I started c25k today and I found that the music is what either helped keep me going or wanted to slow me down. I tried looking up music today...just curious what are the music opinions of runners out there.

Looking forward to hearing what keeps ppl motivated while running.

I absolutely LOVE all things Lady Gaga. Before I started exercising regularly, I wasn't a huge fan of hers, but now - holy crap. Especially Born This Way - darn near every song on that album is a kickbutt power jam.

Maroon 5 has a few good ones "Secret" (and more) and Nickelback has some great ones too including "Someone that you're with". Pat Benetar pretty much rocks out too!!! It takes a while to determine which songs are good for your pace. I have to be able to match the pace of the music or its no good for me!!

I love to run to hip hop. Ludacris, Eminem, 50 cent, etc.... But I like a little pop and some Lonely Island thrown in :) Probably my favorite songs to run to right now are
"Look at Me Now" Chris Brown
    "E.T." Katy Perry
"S & M" Rihanna and Britney spears version
"They dont really care about us" Michael Jackson
    "Go Girl" Dorrough
    "Get Back" Ludacris
    "I need a doctor" Eminem
    "Just lose it" Eminem
"I just had sex" Lonely Island

Theres a good website called this: http://www.runhundred.com/

You can sign up and they send you a list of good running songs everyweek- then you can download them/get them somehow! I like it because it means I listen to new music which I might have otherwise missed, and they are at the right tempo for running to. Often find myself smiling and upping my game when a really goos song comes on...
