Butternut squash fries?!

I have been on my weight loss journey for 20 weeks now and I am just feeling very deprived. I have been trying to find new foods so I don't feel so deprived like Boca Burgers with laughing cow cheese and 100 calorie sandwhich thins. I have also been eating Shirrtakke tofu noodles for pasta swaps but I still feel deprived. I miss chocolate and french fries. I found a recipe for butternut squash fries but before I try it I was wondering if anyone has tried the recipe or a variation of it. Or have a good fry swap. Here is the recipe I found:

I have not tried those fries, but, I have a way that I enjoy to make baked potatoes more like fries. I like to cut the potato into small wedges and sprinkle Mrs. Dash and a little olive oil (or Pam if you do not have enough calories for the oil). Bake them at 350 until crispy and they tast like seasoned fries to me and my children. Calories are alot lower because it is a potato and it is baked.0

I am a fan of hungry girl and have tried the butternut squash fries! If you like sweet potato fries, you will like the butternut fries, they taste really similar! Just be sure to dry the spears as much as possible before baking them.0

We use sweet potato here too only I either use a vegetable peeler to get them super thin and crispy or slice them really thinly. Havent tried them in wedges but Im sure they would totally rock.0 -
