Fruits or protein

I have been eating a lot fruits because I can eat more of those and still stay within my calorie limit. But I am not sure if I should be eating more protein because if I do I will have to cut back more on what I'm eating since it normally has higher calories. Also, food with more protein has more fat than fruits so will me eating more protein make me less likely to lose weight?

Protein during weight loss helps to maintain muscle mass. Definitely eat more protein.0

Before we can say eat more or less, why not tell everyone how much you're eating?
It really IS hard to get protein without fat. No doubt. Not impossible, but it can get rough.0 -

Yes it does....definitely eat more protein. No need to overload though. Maintain balance.0 -
fat's not the enemy necessarily. and plenty of protein sources are low in fat. eat fish & poultry! and you can eat as much fruit as you like if it fits into your calorie goals, but i try not to go toooo crazy on it because of the carbs. i still eat lots of apple slices, strawberries and banana and berries each day. i also get a lot of protein. protein is important imo! for your hair & for muscle mass. and keeps you fuller longer.0
