Found myfitnesspal through my new phone.
I currently weigh just shy of 245 and my goal is to get to the 185 - 190 range. Basically what I weighed at 19. (I am now 46)
I have already accomplished a lot (for me). 3 years ago I started Capoeira as a way to get out an exercise a couple of times a week. I was sick and tired of being exhausted after mowing the lawn or being completely out of breath after walking up 2 flights of stairs.(Not certain about my weight back then but my pant size was a "snug" 48 that has dropped to a loose 42). About a year ago I added a Jeet Kune Do class to my work out week. These two classes give me 4 vigorous workouts per week and have increased my fitness level dramatically.
I have now reached a static position and I need to make some more changes to my diet and perhaps add a separate cardio workout to my week in order to continue to my goal.
I am hoping that by tracking my food consumption and workouts on this site will give me the tools I need to make the next step towards my health & fitness goals.
Good luck to us all!

Welcome and good luck on your journey. You will find all the help you need here but it is still up to you to do the work. Slow and steady is the best way. Remember it's not a diet it's a lifestyle change.0

Welcome. I think you will find that this site will help you get the results you want. Once you can see how many calories are going in (eating) and how many are going out (excercise/activity) it's very simple to see what type of adjustments you need to make.
After about a month, your stomach will shrink and get used to proper portions of food. That was the big one for me. My portions had gotten out of whack after I had quit smoking and I just needed to bring them into the normal zone again. Now I can feel full on about a third of the amount of food I used to eat - and I can actually do a pushup now (actually 17 and I'm on a challenge to be able to do 100). Also, you can track other items - I chose to track salt and cholestorol. There are a lot of helpful people here to assist you as well. Good luck on your goals. You can do it.:glasses:0 -
