Could I be the only bride-to-be to GAIN weight before her wedding?

i am getting married in exactly one week! Of course, I'm very excited but the one thing that is getting me down has been my inability to lose weight for the big day! I'm so cross with myself...

Last year I trained for a marathon and lost 7lbs - I was so chuffed I decided to run another one this April in a bid to lose some more for the wedding. At the same time I gave up sugar and processed food during lent. I don't think I've ever been so healthy in all my life, except I trained SO hard that I gained weight and ended up 11.5 lbs heavier with the muscliest thighs and calves - My body fat was <20% but I was so uncomfortable because my jeans were lose around the waist but horribly tight on the legs :(

Having trained constantly for months on end and depriving myself of so many of the foods that I loved, after completing the marathon I went crazy - I now barely exercise and I eat so much rubbish.

I've always had a very poor relationship with food. I was overweight as a child and have yo-yo'd since leaving home 12 years ago but I think this is the most out of control I've ever been. I have lost 5lbs since the marathon in April, but this is probably just muscle mass as I feel horribly flabby now.

I just wanted to see if anyone else had gained a bit of weight on the run up to their wedding? Everyone else seems to lose weight, but I eat when I'm stressed (or happy, or sad, or celebrating or....you get the picture!) and I'm not feeling great about myself :(

Anyone have any words of wisdom for me?

Thanks.

Aw, well I'm not getting married, but I can definitely relate to your feelings. I know it's easier said than done, but I think the best thing you can do for yourself is realize you're beautiful no matter your size and try to accept where you're at right now. You're getting married so you should enjoy yourself and have a great week! Try and make positive choices with your food and make some time to do something active so you feel better! But really enjoy your wedding! Congrats :)
