My introduction:
Hi! I'm Ed
I'm 57 years young and I'm 6'4".
I have 4 children and 4 grandchildren.
Married to a wonderful person, Steph.
This is my 1st period of trying to lose weight.
The last 5 years haven't been the best.
In 2009 I contracted Lyme and Bartonella from a tick while vacationing in Michigan. (Travis City area)
After a 3 year battle I started to feel better, then got hurt at work. I pulled three rib heads off my spine. (rib head subluxation) I gained a lot of weight during these years. At the end of 2014 I weighed 260.
In January I decided I had had enough. I stopped drinking soft drinks and eating breads. The weight started coming down slowly.
In April the weather started cooperating and I started cycling,
7 miles each day with a cadence of 80. It didn't matter how fast I went, just that I kept that cadence.
I still keep that cadence and I'm now riding up to 30 miles at a time.
My ride today
Today I weighed in at 224. I'm trying to get to 205.
I know these last pounds will be the toughest, help keep me motivated.
Ed.
