Scale is fluctuating...is it broken?

When I step on my scale in the morning it will say a number...then I will immediately get off of it and step back on, and it says I am about 2 lbs heavier! Is it time to get a new scale?

Sounds like it; or, try replacing the batteries if it is a digital one, and make sure it is on an even surface regardless (so not carpet).

Has it always been like this? Is it placed on a hard and even surface? Maybe it needs fresh batteries. Or just get a new one.

Now, stop doing that to yourself. The scale is not broken, and neither are you. :)

Weigh yourself each morning (or once a week, or once every other day, or even once a month) on the same scale at the same time after going to the bathroom. Then don't step back on it.

It's normal for weight to fluctuate at any given time.

It's on a hardwood floor so no problem there. I'll try and replace the batteries!

Probably the batteries, but if I put my feet too high up on mine I can get a 2-lb fluctuation. I assume your feet are in the same spot every time?

Mine was doing this. Removing the batteries and putting them back in again fixed it.

I am happy someone asked this question I have been noticing the same thing - it fluctuates by about 1-1.5lbs. I will also try the batteries.
