I am a band director for a Jr. High School. As I was looking at a picture of myself from our spring concert one year ago and then looking at my picture from the spring concert this year, it helped me to realize how far I've come in one year.....

    thank you funkyspunky for the picture help! and thank you everyone for the nice comments :smile: talk about motivation!

    the things that helped me be successful after years of struggling.... Other than using myfitnesspal religiously and getting motivation from the posts on here.......I set small goals, let myself have a treat on paydays (2x a month) always stayed under my calories, workout even when i really don't feel like it (I always am glad i did after!), pushed myself to do new things (like run a 5k! ) and I also had lots of supporitve people around me to encourage me, such as my co-workers, family and new bf... ask me about anything and I'll share! It's still work for me and I think that It always will be!
