I found out in April I had diabetes , and just found out about a week ago I'm pregnant, The doctors have said its nothing to do with pregnancy my diabetes and every time I've eaten for the past week I've been really dizzy and have to sleep right away , I'm so scared about my health. Has anyone had this with diabetes and pregnancy ? I'm on metformin also

what are your numbers running? I had gestational and dizzy usually meant too high for me. I kept mine reasonable and freaked out if i was even close to 200. I was on glyburide with first pregnancy only and only on insulin second one. If i ran too low i was clammy and confused - like 40-50

They've said its defiantly not pregnancy diabetes , it was 10 in May then 8 in June and I haven't had it checked since but they said I could get rid of it if I healthy ate and lost the weight, but now I'm pregnant and the doctor won't let me get another blood test as they think it won't make a difference but I just want to know if I've got rid of it or not and I have an appointment 31st July so I'll mention then, I just keep thinking I'll die or something hate this feeling ha

Google Accucheck 360 view tool. It is not scary! Works with any glucose monitor. It is a spreadsheet system for recording your glucose upon rising, before and after meals for 3 days. Try doing this to see if you can see a pattern. Ask your doctor for a referral to a dietitian/nutritionist. Go check out some cookbooks for diabetics from the library (although many would say the carbs in these traditional books are too many). Fortunately, my gestational diagnosis was managed by food alone, so I pray you will find direction and healing. And congratulations!

I am not diabetic so I cannot help you there, however dizziness and significant exhaustion are both common in early pregnancy. If you've spoken to your doctors about your concerns but are not satisfied with their diagnosis or treatment then I would recommend you get a second opinion.
