Does the camera add pounds?

Hey everyone, just wanted to know your thoughts on the old saying "camera adds 10 pounds." when I look at myself in the mirror i can see the results of my hard work but in a picture... not so much...

    I think it depends on the angle.

    Depends on what you're wearing, the lighting, and the angle. The camera can just as easily take away 10 lbs as it can add them.

    I think so.. .

    I can't stand to see myself in pictures. . . but then again, a picture is what motivated me to finally get off my tush and start doing something!

    We started taking pics at each 10lb loss so we can eventually track the success through pics. I think I look better in the mirror too, but at the end of the day I have to admit it was my fork that put the lbs on the camera just catches it. :-) there is a guy on here who took his pics over time and then turned them into a video so he twirled and shrunk in his post. Keep taking your pics and enjoy the mirror. I'm planning on burning all my pics once I hit my goal.

    Supposedly, it is true. I work in the film industry and I've heard people talk about how actors and actresses have to keep that in mind, and so they typically look thinner in person than they do on camera.
